Delivery Rate Card Setup for Stock Items
The Customer Catalogue can use a Rate Card item to calculate a delivery charge for the stock items in the order.
The number of items in the basket are used as a quantity for the Rate Card and the sale figure is displayed as a 'Delivery' line on the basket.
There are two models of configuring the Delivery Rate Card
- Variable delivery price per item in the basket
- Single delivery price for the order ( per basket)
Variable Price Per Item
This model allows for a different delivery sale price to be calculated based on the number of different items in the basket (regardless of the quantity of each item).
The number of items in the basket relates to the ‘Quantity’ column on the rate card.
For example, with a rate card:
Â
Â
Quantity | Â 1 | Â 10 | Â 20 |
Delivery Price |  £5 |  £40 |  £60 |
Â
Where an order has 3 items in the basket, the delivery charge would be £12.78.
For 15 items in the basket: £50.
For 22 items in the basket: £66.
Single Price Per Order
This model calculates a single delivery charge price no matter how many items there are in the basket.
The rate card is set out slightly differently for this:
Â
Â
Quantity | Â 1 | Â 100,000 |
Delivery Price |  £10 |  £10 |
Â
Using this model, no matter how many items there are in the basket, the price will always be
£10.
