How to set up Customer Profiles?
What does Profiling do?
- Profiling is a way of grouping Customer UsersÂ
- It is used for filtering the list of Catalogue Items
- It allows only selected groups of Customer Users to request Rfx, order Stock Items or Rate Card items through the Customer Catalogue
- It makes it easier for the Buyers to place orders or request items on behalf of Customer Users
Creating Profiles for an individual Customer
You can create multiple Profiles for your Customer, depending how granular the association between Profiles and Catalogue Items Profiling will be. Follow the below steps to get the Profiles created:
- In Claritum go to Customers
- Select Customer you want to create Profile(s) for
- Hit 'Add New Profile'
- Provide 'Profile Name' and as many values as you want by hitting 'Add new value' button
- If you wish to add another profile  just hit 'Add New Profile" button
- Hit 'Save' button after you're finished with adding all the Profiles.
Setting up Catalogue Items Publishing with Customer Profiles.
When the Profiles for the Customer are created you can then associate them with the Catalogue Items to make sure only selected groups of Customer Users can request the Catalogue Items or you can request / order items on behalf of them.
For RFq or Rate Card Item:
- Go to Jobbags → Rfx → Search for an item → click on the spanner icon (Settings) → go to 'Details' tab → 'Publishing' Section.
- By selecting a particular Customer that the item should be published to (  choose 'Publish to selected customers'→ select the Customer from the list → click 'Add') you can then select the profiles you have created for this Customer in a previous step.
- After you configured the Publishing by selecting your Profiles make sure you 'Save' the changes
For Stock Item
- Go to Inventory → Catalogue → Search for a Stock Item → click on the spanner icon (Settings) → go to 'Details' tab → 'Publishing' Section.
- By selecting a particular Customer that the item should be published to (  choose 'Publish to selected customers'→ select the Customer from the list → click 'Add') you can then select the profiles you have created for this Customer in a previous step.
- After you configured the Publishing by selecting your Profiles make sure you 'Save' the changes
