Stock Orders - How to place a stock order

This page details how a user can place an order for a stock item on behalf of the customer.

 


Placing the order

 

  • Using the left hand menu navigate to ‘Stock > New Order’

  • The user will be taken to the Stock Catalogue to choose their stock item

  • The user enters how many units they wish to order and clicks the trolley icon to proceed

  • The user will be asked to provide the customer user (this field is mandatory), the expected delivery date and any notes regarding the stock order

  • By selecting the customer user, the deliveries section will automatically be populated however the user can still modify the address if required. At this step the user can also amend the quantity of the stock item.

  • Finally the user will be asked to enter a PO number (this field is mandatory) and a project code. The user can either click add item to return to the catalogue and select another item to add to their stock order or they can click place order to complete the stock order

  • Once the order is placed the user will be presented with an overview of the stock order they have just placed

 

  • The user can also view the order history page to see an overview of their orders
