Stock Authorisation

You can set a stock authorisation level on a stock item which forces an administrator to approve an order before it can proceed. This page details how to setup stock authorisation limits and how the process works from the customer raising the order to the administrator approving the order

Setting an authorisation limit

  • See ‘stock > stock levels’

  • Find the item you want to add an authorisation level and click the name of the item to edit it

  • Click the details tab

  • Scroll down to the ordering section and see authorisation level

  • Set the amount of units the customer needs to order before it requires authorisation

  • Click save

Authorising orders

  • The customer places an order that requires authorisation

  • See ‘stock > stock orders’

  • The order will appear with the status ‘awaiting authorisation'

  • Click ‘authorise’

  • You can choose to approve or reject the order. If multiple items need authorisation you can choose to make a decision later

  • Authorising the order allows it to proceed an email is sent to the customer informing them the order is authorised
