Part Actions

Various Part actions are generic and can be performed on any kind of Part at any point in the Project workflow.
Add Part
This function allows the Service Provider to add a Part to a Project.
- Select the Project from All Projects.
- On the Project Parts page, click the Add Part button.
You will be redirected to the Add Part page. - Follow the normal workflow for adding a Part.

Unlock / Lock Current Part
This function allows you to lock and unlock a Project Part. A Part is locked when the Service Provider has sent the Quote to the Customer and the Part has the status 'Quoted'. The reason is that any changes to the Part at this stage would require the Part to be re-quoted.
Only system users with the required access rights can unlock a Part. The Service Provider system administrator can provide or deny access by setting permissions in a user's admin profile.
- Select the Project from All Projects.
- On the Project Parts page, click the Unlock Current Part button.
A warning message appears:
- Click Yes.
Delete Selected
This function allows the Service Provider to delete a Project Part.
- Select the Project from All Projects.
- On the Project Parts page, click the Delete Selected button.
A warning message appears:
- Click Yes.
The reason provided is stored in the Audit trail.
Copy Selected
This function allows the Service Provider to copy a Project Part. This can save you a lot of time if you need to create multiple similar Parts. You can copy a Part and amend it rather than having to re-enter all the details from scratch.
- Select the Project from All Projects.
- On the Project Parts page, click the Copy Selected button.
A copy of the Part is created with the status New.
Quote Selected
This function allows the Service Provider to send multiple Project Part quotes to the Customer with one action.
- Select the Project from All Projects.
- On the Project Parts page, click the Quote Selected button.
The Quote email page will display. Edit as required and click the Send button.
