Part 2 - The Buyer Manager Role

Overview

The Buyer/Manager’s role is perhaps the most varied role within the system and includes:

  • Handling customer requests
  • Sourcing suppliers for project production
  • Quoting to customers
  • Managing Project production
  • Placing orders on behalf of customers
  • Invoicing customers and receiving supplier invoices

Logging In

  1. Type the following address into the Address Bar of your browser:

              https:// <yoursystemname> .claritum.com/login

    (replace the <yoursystemname> with your system name. If you do not know this then please contact your Super user).
  2. Hit the Enter key.
  3. When the login page opens, enter your Password and hit Enter again to login.

Home

'Today' view

This page is the first one you see once you have logged in. It displays many items that require your attention, ranging from quote requests submitted by users to stock orders placed that require fulfilment.

To return to the ‘Today View’ at any time:

  1. Click the Home button at the top of the side menu.

The Side Menu

The Side Menu provides you with access to the various parts of the system and is divided into sections. Click the section title to expand to view its options or to contract to hide its options.

Jobbags

This contains options for creating a new request (RFx) or viewing a listing of current or previous requests, RFxs, quotes or jobs.
It also contains options for managing the catalog of specification forms and repeat items.

Templates

Otherwise known as ‘Web To Print’ these are pre-defined artwork templates that allow the user to generate final press-ready artwork by supplying only simple content.

Inventory

This section provides options for managing the stock catalog plus ordering items from the stock catalog using a simple shopping basket.

Customers

This section contains information about your customers and contacts (customer's members), cost centres and sales invoices that you can manage by having the right permissions.

Administrators

This section allows to manage a list of buyer managers by adding new administrators and modifying the details the existing ones.

Information

This section provides options for running your own reports.

Note: You may not be able to see all of the options or all of the sections listed below, depending on your access restrictions. Please contact your Super User for more information.
