Technical Requirements

Claritum’s Procurement System has been designed for ease of use and reliability. It will run on most internet browsers and standard equipment. For optimum performance of your system, the following configuration will be required.

Hardware Requirements

  • Any computer (PC, Mac) with a minimum screen resolution of 1,024x768 and 32-bit colour.
  • Broadband or faster internet link.

Software Requirements

The minimum software baseline is as follows:

  • Windows: Any that supports Internet Explorer (Microsoft supported versions only), Firefox 45+, Google Chrome
  • Other operating systems (Apple OSX, etc): Firefox 45+, Safari 9+, Google Chrome

Recommended Software

The recommended software baseline is as follows:

  • Windows: 7 or later, or Apple macOS: 10.10 or later
  • The most recent version Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari or Google Chrome
  • Email client that allows for clicking on textual links.
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader (latest version and only required on Windows-based machines).

Browser Configuration

  • Javascript must be enabled
  • Communications via port 80 and port 443 need to be enabled
  • Cookies need to be enabled for *.claritum.com
  • Referrers need to be enabled for *.claritum.com
  • Popup blocking needs to be disabled for *.claritum.com (see Notes)


Notes

  • Anybody on any operating system should be able to view and use the system.
  • Internet browsers should only use the default font sizes for the application.
  • The Claritum system relies on opening new browser windows to provide the user with essential information, collect additional data and display previews and PDFs. Popup blockers are included in many different products, from Norton Internet Security to the Yahoo toolbar. Each should be easily configurable to allow the Claritum system to open new browser windows – please consult the documentation for your particular product.
  • If other users on your internet connection regularly transfer large files, it will slow down access to the system. In such cases, we recommend a separate connection for Claritum system users.
