Unlock / Lock Part

This function allows you to lock and unlock a Project Part. A Part is locked when the Service Provider has sent the Quote to the Customer and the Part has the status 'Quoted'. The reason is that any changes to the Part at this stage would require the Part to be re-quoted.

Only system users with the required access rights can unlock a Part. The Service Provider system administrator can provide or deny access by setting permissions in a user's admin profile.

  1. Select the Project from All Projects.

  2. On the Project Parts page, click the Unlock Current Part button.
    A warning message appears:
