Pageflex security information

  1. The data centre facility at Pulsant is one of the most efficient commercially available data centres in the UK, achieving a design PUE of 1.2 also ranks it amongst the most efficient in the world. It offers the ultimate in security, reliability and connectivity in a managed and carrier neutral facility.
  2. High Efficiency Cooling: Using increased temperature regimes and evaporative cooling techniques, providing high-energy efficiency along with variable speed control on fans and pumps to closely match the power demand. Advanced metering has therefore been installed in all distribution boards to provide a full energy monitoring capability within a central control, monitoring and reporting software system.
  3. Power & Generators: The incoming power supply comprises two independent 11kV supplies (A&B) connected to private HV package substations operating as an open ring. The main 11kV supplies are backed up by N+1 stand-by generators and N+1 UPS systems (also remotely monitored).
  4. Network Connectivity: A carrier neutral facility with 30 telecommunication carriers providing network and service independence.
  5. Fire: The facility is equipped with VESDA fire detection which continuously samples the air for smoke particles. In the event of an alert there is installed a FM200 suppression system.

The data centre is certified to ISO 27001 to a level of coverage that maximises our scope as a data centre and managed services operation. Achieving ISO 27001 to this high level of coverage gives us the reassurance that our operations and approach to security are aligned to a recognised, international standard. The security management includes regular senior management reviews, aspects of personnel security such as awareness training and vetting, and an internal audit programme to ensure effectiveness of controls.
