    • Some users may have single sign on
    • Email address and password.
  • Main Menu
    • Projects = sourcing and procurement of standard and non-standard products.
      • Also where we receive and handle sourcing requests from users via the customer portal.
    • Stock = manage an inventory of ready-to-ship products. Includes stock levels, call-offs, etc.
    • Customers = manage our list of customers; each would typically be an organisation entity but really just a way of organising groups of end-users.
    • Administrators = manage the buyers, super users, supply-chain managers, etc.

    • Knowledge Base = access to the online support; knowledge base for articles, guides, how-to’s (and these videos), ‘support’ for raising and tracking support requests and ‘ideas portal’ for your suggestions and feedback (and to what other features people have suggested and ways for you to vote on them).
    • All key functions accessible from here
    • Some users may not be able to see certain sections.
  • Key Concepts
    • Independent values for every single transaction.
    • The same for internal usage
    • ‘Customer’ and ‘Supplier’
    • ‘Cost’ and ‘Sale’
  • Suppliers:
    • On your system, may be a completely different set.
    • ‘Services’, ‘capabilities’ or really anything else you need to classify the supplier by.
    • Very important during sourcing; can create sourcing types and products to match combinations of these service types on the suppliers.
    • Means the system can pre-filter your searches during sourcing; it’ll only show the supplier appropriate for the work you’re specifying.
    • As you use the system, you’ll get opportunities to ‘rate’ the supplier. Those ratings are collected here and give an ‘average’ rating you can see throughout.
    • Supplier listing
    • All the suppliers registered on the system.
    • Suppliers have their own currency.
    • ..and ‘Relationship’. (allows suppliers to ‘stand out’ in listings)
    • Services (very important):
    • Performance
  • What does a ‘customer’ look like?
    • Main customer details
      • Any currency
    • Addresses:
      • Any number of address; very useful when selecting shipping addresses.
    • Users:
      • Named, with email address, contact details.
      • All the users belonging to this customer.
      • Named ‘stakeholders’ for sourcing events.
      • Receive any quotes you generate.
      • Wherever the system asks for a ‘customer contact’, this list is what it’s referring to.
      • If using the Customer Portals then these users can log in directly to the Customer Portal and create orders, submit requirements, etc.
    • Administrators:
      • These are all of you, the service managers who can see this customer and process requests, orders etc. on their behalf.
      • Not everyone has to be on this list.
      • This allows dividing customers up into account ‘groups’ or organise customers by region with dedicated service teams to manage them.
    • Suppliers:
      • This list, based on the list of suppliers registered on your system but only those enabled for use with this customer.
      • This allows you to set up specific supplier lists for each customer.
      • During sourcing events, guarantees only those permitted suppliers are presented.
    • Customer listing
    • Those using the system for your own use may see just 1.
    • Other users, providing sourcing as a managed service will see, well, more customers.
    • The Customer record [Winshire]:
  • No labels
