Customer Importer File Structure

The datafile structure must contain exactly the columns required with the first row containing the column headings.

Updating Existing Customer

Users

  1. Go to 'Customers'
  2. Select a customer you want to update the contacts Customer Users for
  3. Select 'Download Customer Members'  (top of the page). This will download a CSV file with the existing Customer ContactsUsers.
  4. Modify the data where necessary and save it as an Excel file (.xls). Please DO NOT modify the Claritum ID value as it is used it to identify the Customer Contact on Users on the system.
  5. Once your spreadsheet is ready, select 'Upload Customer Members'
  6. Select your file and click 'Send'
  7. Please make sure 'Claritum ID' column is selected ( Not External ID). Confirm selected columns are ok and click 'Upload' on the bottom of the page.


Importing New Customer

  1. Use this file to import new Customer ContactsUsersCustomer Contacts.xls. The fields flagged in Red are mandatory
    1. Alternatively, you can download the spreadsheet 'Download Customer Members' by following the first 3 steps of the previous instructions and add new rows for new Customer Users. Please remember that before uploading the file needs to be saved in Excel format (.xls) first.
  2. Provide data to the file (make sure it is saved as .xls)
  3. Go to 'Customers'
  4. Select a customer you want to upload the contacts forCustomer Users for
  5. Select 'Upload Customer Members'
  6. Select your file and click on 'Send'
